Ill Logical Logic Of Women And Other Bollocks
Fri Apr 27 2007

Thought, I’d share few laughs to change from pensiveness…

Discussed with colleagues the eternal issue of gender-related behavioural differences. A colleague said:
Typical female thing – do not ask directly for herself. If a woman wants anything, she would ask for it in a “third party” form. Something like “I think my handbag needs replacing” or “those feet are pretty sore from old shoes” or “don’t you think your wife deserves new dress?”

The other female thing he mentioned – how many time ladies would change in a day? It is amazing, that we never noticed, but what we do first after getting home? We “change into something comfortable”…that implies that what we put on for going out in not a comfortable thing. The question is, though: why do we wear uncomfortable in the first place??? It does feel somewhat illogical, doesn’t it?

Women have a peculiar sense of privacy. They would share only the secrets that make them look good. They would cover their face under the wide-brimmed hat and wear a mini skirt with this…Speaking of being unreasonably protective of privacy…I’ve noticed that when I’m alone at home, I can walk around naked, but I would still lock the door when taking shower. How illogical is that?!

OK, now I've got tired to redicule poor ladies, I'll switch onto evil managers instead. Few Alistair Benton’s management bollocks to add to the fun:

Multi-skilling
Focusing on a single set of skills can be limiting. In the end you will become second-rate in your specialist area. Multi-skilling can help you to avoid this. Why be crap in one thing, when you can be crap at lots of things?

Delegating and dumping.
Learn the difference between delegating and dumping. Others dump. You delegate.

Inspiring others
As a manager, it’s your job to inspire others. If there is nothing inspiring about you, just use fear instead.

Failure
Failure is a learned response. Avoid failure by not learning anything.

    What does it all mean?

Women have better manners than men do.

Mmmm. Don't think that one will fly. We just have different manners.

    Shalom
