I finally got it. Last month was interestingly busy. Yet another room has been re-faced. It all started innocently with the walls needed refreshing. After wall papers, the skirting boards got painted, then, “naturally” the window and door frame. After that point I decided to change the carpet, since the room was empty and it seemed like convenient time. Taking the old one away revealed the need for two floor boards replacing...and so on and so on. You only have to start a small job...well, definitely applies to me – I’m professional in blowing the small jobs into big ones. So this week I was fitting carpet on Monday, assembling new wardrobe on Tuesday, moving furniture back into the room on Wednesday and having creative crisis with curtain on Thursday. Phewww, that’s another room done. No wonder I am tired. But thankfully, I have run out of the rooms to decorate.
Today is my mother’s birthday. Happy Birthday to you, mom! I wish for you to be happy, I am doing what I can to make it so. I wanted to write some thoughts on that, but there aren’t any reflective enough to be recorded. I guess, the spirit of the milestones of our life’s journey fades out as we are pulled into the vortex of everyday’s living.
My newly acquired lodger has suddenly left. He used to pay weekly, so I didn’t really need much notice. As much as I am in need of extra money, I am not going to get another one until next month. I am a reasonable woman and the reason being that I will have guests staying with me at the end of this month, so I figured it would be logistically easier if I won’t have a stranger in my house for that time. The guests I expect are, actually, the family of one of my previous lodgers. We stay in touch after he left back home to Ostrava (he is Czech) and now he wants to bring his wife and his baby for holidays in UK. My house will become a Noah’s Arch in terms of occupation. It is not a big house and I have had some second thoughts on being too kind to people inviting them in without thinking of consequences. Oh well...we will get through this one too, but of course, no relaxing breaks for me anywhere on the horizon... this is where I am today. With a lot of things on my mind and with not much hope that this situation can ever end.

- From:Yetzirah (Legacy)On:Fri Mar 08 2013While I don't get involved in re-modeling my house since I rent, I DO know how some innocent cleaning can lead to tearing a room all apart and putting it back together! (The spiders who want to live in my house hate this about me.) ;-) Hope you find a good lodger when you are ready again.
- From:Control pests (Legacy)On:Wed Apr 16 2014Hey would you mind stating which blog platform you're using? I'm planning to start my own blog in the near future but I'm having a hard time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I'm looking for something completely unique. P.S My apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!

- From:Locksmith training (Legacy)On:Mon Apr 28 2014Hmm it appears like your site ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I'll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I'm thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I'm still new to the whole thing. Do you have any tips for newbie blog writers? I'd really appreciate it.
