Happy Hundreth Diary Entry
Sun Jan 14 2001

Thanks, Paul,
Nope, I didn't know that was my hundreth, how did you know it was? That's cool. In first grade on our 100th day in school we had a homework assignment the night before, to bring something with 100, like, someone brought in 100 pieces of bubble gum and we were allowed to chew it there just for the day, someone wrote a book of 100 math problems probably with some help, et cetera, I don't remember what I brought in. How can I celebrate on here? I'm up to celebrating, it's been a depressing weekend, for the most part. If you have any ideas, Paul, or anyone else, let me know!!!
Ok, now what I need to do, is talk about the layout. :*( It was very confusing, all of the plans, but eventually after Grandma and mom changed their minds for like the 2 thousandth time, we deided that we'd stay home Friday night, after we got out early at school and I hurt my knee, see we have three staircases, and we're supposed to stay on the right side, so people going down would have been on my left and I would have been the right, but not everyone stayed to hahaha I just got these two cousins I'm watching to get me pop for a quarter, see, Priscilla's dad was upstairs and he lets us have pop sometimes, but I'd feel really weird going up there and haeling myself, even if it used to be my bedroom, I feel weird going upstairs period. I stick down on the main level and basement. That's where the computer is, and in the basement, all of my stuff is there, it's my new bedroom, and in here, in the living room I really sleep on the couch and the computer is in here.. Ok, here it goes,...
After work and all, I got home, my dad was going to pick me up but he forgot about me, and I was walking on my leg a lot, but trying to put the pressure mostly on my right leg, because it hurts to walk on, but I made it walking home from work. I carry my pepper spray with me, and I hold it so that if I have to use it I will, because I get scared walking home at night by myself, when it's dark and all, I somehow ran acrooss the street and almost fell, stopped at a nursing home to visit some people there, and got home, and rested my leg for a little buit, started cleaning my room. I finally went to sleep on the couch, and I put two pillows under my knee, it was pretty comfortable. Saturday I woke up to the door, These people were over to drop their son, Jacob off for me to babysit from about 9:30 to 12:00.
We did a lot of illegal things that day, I remember thinking about. We had to go somewhere, and since Jacob is only two and we didn't have his car seat with us, mom had me sit him down on the seat in between my legs and hold him. He had put my wendys hat on hoim, and it was big, so it hung on his neck, and he had it backwards but it was so cute so I left it on him.
When I smoke in the car, I usually have a window cracked so that I can blow the smoke out more, and I also have a habit of flicking the ciggs. out of the window which is against the law.
Later on after getting ready and picking Grandma up, well, she had beer in a cooler, and that's opened containers of alcohol, becayuse even though tyhey weren't actually open, they weren't in the case they came in. Mom and I were smoking, with the windows cracked, Grandma said she was cold and mom said something about her car we were driving, and we weren't even downtown Cincinnati yet, much less in the state we were going to, Ky. Grandma said she'd kick us out of her car, mom said she'd get a dui on her. It was funny.
We stop at rest area in Kentucky and I never have to go to the bathroom, unless purging, so I stayed in the car while they went. I couldn't help it, I saw the keys in the igniotion and impoulsively got in the drivers side and started the car, looked for other cars coming, reversed it, and parked again, but for some reason the car was still trying to go forwrad in the parking spot, I put the brakes on, then pit it in parlk and turned it off. This lady was watching me, thinking something was wrong with the picture, since it at first was in drive in the parking spot, so she kept watching me. I finally got out of there, and parked the car sideways in the next two parking spots. That's when mom and Grandma came out and stood with that lady, I heard moms oh my god. I got out. I went over to them, see, I've been 15 and a half since like August and we haven't gotten a chance to make an appointment to get my test done yet, where if I pass, I could get my temps. And I drove on Christmas day, it was fun, and I felt like a natural. Grandma and mom yelled at me for a little while, then they started joking and laughing. It takes me a while though, see, first they called me names, like stupid, and how that was an understatment, and I know what I did was stupid, but they were talking about me, and what an idiot I was, and all of this crap, and then they start holding your hand and telling you to smile. I didn't feel like it after they just kept calling me names, but I did, since I realized I was off the hook. Besides, it was good to have a laugh, esp. when we were on our way to see our aunt for the final time. We stopped three times on the way for Grandma and or mom to go to the bathroom, I didn't have to go at all.
Ok, we got there, finally walked in, I was tired of waiting for mom, we found the chapel, ad we all looked in the room, some people turned around to see us latecomers, and there she was, in a pretty coffin lit up in the middle of the room. as soon as we looked at her, Grandma started whimpering, and turned away from the room, started going over to a coat hanger. I followed her, put my arm around her, thought of my dead aunt lying there, and cried with Grandma. The people there, that work in the funeral home, handed us both tissues. Mom stood around us, seeming like she wanted to go in, but politely waited for us. Finally Merea, George and Linda, my cousin and her parents, Linda is my Grandma's sister jackie, daughter, who died about two years ago, and they came, hugged us, had us come in. It was hard, and I in my rotc uniform wasn't so composed, and couldn't look at anyone while I made my way to the casket and I finally got the nerve to put my hands over hers, and look at the sweet little thing her eyebrows were creased like my moms get when shes mad, but otherwise she looked peaceful. And so pretty, they had a little white thing in her hair and a pink and white sweater on.
I couldn't believe how people at the funeral were acting like it was a family reunion, which it was, in a way, we seem to only have those at weddings and funerals. I had found myself explaining the rotc uniform to people, including these two little boys, one said excuse me, are you a cop? I tried to explain it, but then when i thought he understood, he asked me if I could arrest the bigger boy by him. I gave up, said I left my handcuffs at home. Then someones dad was talking to me about this colege near where I go to explorers, the next town, and he said his cousin was a cop and also taught there, so I went in the room with Aunt Lotty and talked to him about that. People talked about church there, my mom talked about the divorce, it was so unreal.
We left, ate a lot at Red Lobster, and I got the waiter to surprise my Grandma with a cake, since her birthday is Monday, it was ok, we all hung in there except for the time at first when we cried. I fell asleep on the way back, I called off work for today, too, but we decided to go back to Ohio afterwards anyway and so I fell asleep somewhere in lexington and then woke up when we were by where my dad works, at a ford company, and I sleepily asked if we were in ohio, we were. We went to Grandmas, I got up there with her, put a nightgown I keep at Grandmas on, fell asleep. Now my Cousin Steven, my mom, uncle and Grandma are going somewhere, to a boat called Belltera, to celebrate Steven's b day today and Grandmas tomorrow, she'll be 68. My dad will be 63 Febuaray 5th, my sister Delores, 24 on Feb. 23, and me and Teri will be 16 March 13. It's how we start off the year, we habe a million b days to celebrate.
Ok,. gotta go, Prsicilla and Ashel were headed upstairs, and cilla looked at me, so I have to see what's up their sleeves, Ashely wouldn't do anything that could get her in trouble, but Cilla,... We'll be making things for Grandma and Steven's b day, to keepo them busy, and I have to clean some more. Bye for now!
