The Mother Goes Shopping
Tue Feb 11 2003

Today we went shopping and out to lunch. The complete female bonding ritual.
My mother, bless her heart bought me a suitcase with wheels on it. I am now officially up to the minute in luggage. She also bought one for herself.

We cruised the mall looking everywhere for a pair of leather gloves for my father. We came up empty handed :-) as the retail stores have already turned the corner into Spring and warm gloves are the farthest thing from their minds.
"Oh we sold the last pair last week." was one comment I remember at Penny's.
Ah well, we tried.

We ate lunch at the Red Lobster. Don't worry chickens, I ate a nice kosher white fish of some kind and Mom had her favorite Salmon.

So now we are home, oohing and ahhing over all the wonderful compartments and zippers and take out plastic cosmetic bags in our new luggage that matches.
Now we can go on trips as the Bobsey Twins.

Well, dinner to make.... and more visiting to do!

Too seldom she comes, too soon she leaves.

Warm gloves are more likely to be found in places where winter really is winter. For nine months of the year.

So now you can look at your new luggage and see your mother and feel her love, even though she's many miles away. As if you needed a reminder.

So, Mom, have a safe trip, come back soon. And Yetzirah, be sure you stop completely to give your Mom a chance to get out of the car and grab her suitcase. THEN you can lay rubber getting back home.

    Shalom.

Did I mention already how much I love these entries about your Mum? Not that I need a reason to read your entries anyway they always make me smile but your Mom saga has had me keeled over laughing in parts! Safe journey Mrs Yetzirah!
