Soggy Floppy
Fri Jul 11 2003

My dear friends,

That's how my diary entry began -- the 800 word moderately humorous one that I accidentally erased from my floppy because I am so muddled headed from working all day.

So I'd abandoned that the fickle creature, that is the computer and have curled up in my favorite chair and have the scribble book in my lap instead.

It's very warm outside and the sun is beating down on the backyard so I can't go out there yet. Last night at about 9:30, the moon was out and I sat a while in the swing -- trying to put one or two thoughts together, but finally gave it up

I'm imagining rain. Cool drops of water that actually fall from the sky, from lovely great clouds that cool everything down. But for that to happen here in the summer is just next to impossible. Even thunderstorms are rare this time of year. So my daydreams will have to remain just that, unless God decides to make me look foolish and start a rip snorter of a summer storm. Only thing is, He knows that I know that I'm foolish already -- so He probably won't be mucking about with the weather just for me.

I should be making supper but nothing sounds good... Well, maybe meatloaf with roasted potatoes and green beans. But I don't know anybody around here who's going to make that so I'm leaning toward cold cereal.

Speaking of food Robbie ate his dog food today -- so he must be feeling better. You should have seen the big bowl I left him with mostly ice in it this morning. When I got home the ice was gone but the water was still very cold.

Enough already my cereal is getting soggy.....

Glad to hear that Robbie is doing better, never trust a computer they only work to lull us into a false sense of security!
