I sat outside in the "dark", this evening. Well as dark as it gets in the suburbs with streetlights and porch lights on all night long. It was just the right temperature. And there was a wonderful breeze making my owl bell ding and the peach tree sway and rustle. The peaches are getting bigger and are now a rather indescribable shade of greeny, yellowy, ruddy. . . something or another. We'll just have to call it "not yet ripe " and leave it at that.
While I was enjoying this backyard moment, I saw a rather spectacular shooting star of a reddish color streak by from north to South. I made a wish on it too. But I can't tell you what it was because everyone knows that your wish won't come true if you tell.
I'd like to be reading a little Harry Potter, but I'm just too sleepy. This is my last act of the day before lights out. Sometimes it's the little things that make everything worthwhile. I intend to make it a habit to look for them all the time. Otherwise if I'm not careful I could end up whining all the live long day. And while I am making that whinny face, I might miss the shooting star, and not be able to make my wish.
(Nope, I am NOT telling!)
Nope.
