Empty Harvest
Fri Aug 08 2003

Ever go out into the garden and find that there is nothing ripe to harvest ?

That’s how I feel this evening.

I have used up all my energies manipulating papers with words on them that have no soul. And adding to the pile of words seems beyond me tonight.

The creative, playful, inspired self has been dunked in the waters of bureaucracy, which everyone knows is the antidote to all original thought.

Next to my monitor, resting patiently, sit two natural gourds, waiting for me to do something imaginative with them. I hope they are REALLY patient. For it seems my ideas will have to wait.

My big job of the evening is to pay some bills. An activity that is sure to lift my spirits ….. oh boy…..

No, I am not really glum….. just numb. There is a big difference you know.

Maybe a good rest will help me light the fires of creativity again.

We shall see.

Well . . . there is good news. Tomorrow is FRIDAY. I am sure a refreshing weekend will help. Leastwise (is that a word?) that's what I am telling myself. *smile*

I'm sending you a hug and some creative prodding via airmail. What you said on my entry yesterday makes a lot of sense boy your Rabbi is smart! I guess the best thing is to try and resolve both sides of it all into a whole.

My sympathies on paperwork it's not the most fun task in the world.

    Love Rach xxx

There are some blackberries ripening along the fence separating the parking lot from the shul.

Bils! Oops, better get busy. I've sort of lost track of time, and a couple of them are overdue.

    Shalom

I'm all caught up on your messages now. Thanks for the place to get fonts, I'm after something in particular. Have a great day, hope you eventually think what you want to do with those gourds. ;-)
