Sleep Deprived
Sun Oct 03 2004

It's 1:24 in the o'dark of the morning.

I have given up on the whole sleep thing.

So here I am typing away, trying to make sense of the world when most everyone within 4 time zones of me is in dreamland.

If the world was a jigsaw puzzle, I would just be ferreting out the border pieces and maybe have one or two sections in place. The rest of it would be scattered all over the table in desperate disarray.

Things are just WAY to weird tonight.

The only things that seem normal come from way back when. Like when Windex window cleaner came in 2 sizes. Small and medium. And both bottles had that funny little curvy cradle at the top of the pumping part. The bottles were glass too come to think of it. And except for one other product I think that was called "Glo-Wax" or something, Windex was the ONLY thing around to clean windows with. Period. That's your lot. Take it or leave it. Now there are so many cleaners to choose from, you need a buyer's guide to do it right. Ridiculous.

But then everything looks ridiculous to me at O'dark thirty in the morning.

Even this entry.

It's pretty ridiculous.

But that's your lot.

Take it or leave it.

Night before last I was having those same kind of "where is THIS coming from" thoughts that kept me awake for hours. This morning I slept in until 11:00, I guess it was make-up sleep extraordinaire. Maybe tonight will be better for you.

Windex, ah yes. Never used it. Vinegar and newspaper do the job just fine. And did you know that alcohol (the rubbing variety) makes the sink fixtures shine?

I've been up all hours of the night lately, too. It would be such a treat to get up at 7am, and feel refreshed. Although, when I retired, I vowed I'd never get up before 9am, it would still be fun to see a sunrise, but I've managed to fall asleep about that time.

    *Sigh*

    Shalom

oh no, not again, poor you, I was watching a program the other day with feature on a woman who averaged 2 hours sleep a night for the last 10 years, the researcher and psychologist said that it has now been proved that counting sheep is the best way to cure insomnia over and above any medical intervention or anything else!
