Bananas
Tue Apr 05 2005

Got home late.

Don't like driving so far out of my own neighborhood at night alone, but what are you going to do? I was surprised at how much traffic there was in the dead of night still. All these people should have been home in bed, including me.

I went outside this morning and found that the lawn mowing fairy had come to call.
And while he was here, he also pulled up most of the Bermuda grass under the blackberry vines. I think I'll bake him a cake or something. Oh wait, how about banana bread? There are overripe ones sitting on the kitchen table right now! How convenient!

Ice cold milk and warm banana bread could be considered dinner don't you think? With ice cream for dessert? Works for me. . .

I see a nap in my future too.....

I love those good little fairies that show up at unexpected times to lend a hand. Baking them goodies seems very appropriate. Kind of like leaving cookies for Santa. :)

In answer to your question, I would say YES warm banana bread and milk could be considered dinner. After all it does cover most of the basic food groups.....grain, fruit, dairy, eggs......and in a very pleasant little package at that; comfort food at its finest. :)

I've always been of the opinion that everything, with the exception of fish and dill pickles, can be improved with chocolate.

There may be some exceptions to the fish, I just haven't found it yet.

Oh, that reminds me; I have three well-done bananas to make into bread, too. I wonder if adding chocolate chips would improve it...? Now that we've found the kitchen again, baking something might be fun! :)

Banana bread sounds good!! If you put out a feeder the HUMMERS will find it. I prepted the mower and cut the damn grass as the lawn guy put me on a wait list as he is full up. Pissed me off so I did it and fertilized the lawn myself.
You can not find a young kid to do any kind of yard work anymore for it is WORK and they have money from Mom&Dad. Sad for hard lessons in life will be coming . We give far to much to our kids today not earned they think the world owes them . Boy what wake up call in store later.
