"What ho my hens and chickens!
It's Spring.
Time to plant.
Let us to our gardens!"

I'm starting the morning way behind. Five and a half hours sleep is not enough. I was called to work yesterday at 1 in the afternoon and didn't get to bed till midnight. But once the sun comes up, I'm hard pressed to sleep any longer. I've a list as long as Sunny's tail of things that need attending to. And somewhere in there is the transplanting of the tomatoes I have been coaxing along from seed for weeks now.

I found this pattern yesterday to make a costume for the next time we go to the Scottish Games. All I need now is a really pretty plaid fabric for the skirt. I wonder if the fake boobs on that one woman come with the pattern? Perhaps they are in there. You just inflate them or something. Pattern W/WO Fake Boobs

I got interrupted in the middle of a sewing project yesterday, the remnants of which still clutter the dining room table. I'm working on a fabric purse. Bag

I'm getting the hankering to bake cookies and an onion pie for Hub Man today too, not to mention laundry and general organization around here. So there's lot's to do as you can see.

Yesterday morning I went to the farmer's market with my neighbor D. and her husband. I bought some very nice red onions and a bag of kiwifruit, and some fresh eggs and a half gallon jar of the best honey on the planet. Starthistle honey. If you ever see it for sale, you must try it.

It is an indication of my sleep deprived state that I have turned on the heater to take what little chill there is out of the house this morning. I'm too impatient to let the sun do it today.

But chill house or no, all my tasks are happy ones, I hope yours are too.....

That is a great pattern! But before choosing a "nice plaid" for your costume you should do some research on tartans and find out what the clan tartan for Hub Man's family looks like. Those highland games people take tartans very seriously. Each clan usually has several tartans to choose from; casual and dress, modern and ancient. I found the research kind of fun.

The costume brings back fond memories; I used to make costumes for everything including our local theater group. Gave up on that last one.....too much stress. One year when my kids were little I decided a little "living history" was in order. I made costumes as either Pilgrims or Indians for each of us and invited my family to do like wise if they wanted. It was a hoot, but I am so grateful we don't have to wear all those petticoats and long skirts today. How they managed to get anything done is beyond me. LOL

I have never had onion pie, but it sounds good.
