Look!

My yogurt 'yogged'!

[album 65561 yog2.JPG]

Here are the jars cozed up in the crock pot sitting on some folded up paper towels. That hole in the middle of the open one is where I stuck a thermometer to make sure the temperature was staying where it needed to be.

This morning is the taste testing. I used a brand of yogurt called 'Spega' that I really liked the taste of [that's where those adorable glass jars came from] and I'm hoping that those little Italian bacteria have done their job and reproduced themselves faithfully. Because I cannot afford to buy that stuff all the time. Wow. Yogurt "sticker shock" does not begin to cover it.

But marketers take note.

I fell for the adorable glass jar.....

But now they are mine..... all mine..... And I can fill them with anything I want to. Including bactieria swiped from Italy.

Bwwwwahhhahh!

[My evil plot is working.]

(This is her version of International Intrigue. It's embarrassing how easy it is to amuse her..... really.)

They ARE cute jars! You could even maybe put candles in those. Of course, yogurt is better for you. ;)

    It's your birthday? Happy birthday!

    Happy birthday!!!

Those are some cool little jars. Now you just need some homemade lemon curd to eat with that yogurt. I'd probably like it with your apple butter, too.

I must be loosing my mind because it never occurred to me that one could concoct ones own yogurt and the 'Italian bacteria' part kinda freaks me out *scratches head*.
