    Very very nice! I think when I finish the shawl in progress I'll attempt a real pair of socks for myself (rather than the pretend one I knit for some random imaginary child). I need to take the plunge, you know?

    It's groovy yarn though - three strands of laceweight, the blue, lavender and gold. One strand of something that feels like cotton in dark green, to kind of wrap those three strands of laceweight together. Look at this one: http://tinyurl.com/26r6ep

    I am a little apprehensive about the blocking process. I'm going to be bummed if it doesn't show the pattern by the time I'm done blocking. It'll mean I have to make it again with different yarn (which is okay as I want to make another anyway). I really like this colorway for the project, I'd hate to have to start over with something different that I'd be less happy with in the end.
