Harry Potter Grand Slam
Thu Jul 12 2007

We went to see Harry Potter last night.

It was fantastic.

The best one yet in my opinion.

The movie makers had a lot to wade through in that book to get to the meat of the story and to their great credit, they succeeded. In spite of the muddled writing style of the author. This book was especially fraught with problems of that sort, but they managed to extract the important parts and make them into one great ride.

The fight scenes near the end were breathtaking.

All I will say about them is if I were you, I would not mess around with Dumbledoor.

You will now excuse me, I have to go cast on some socks for the baseball game.

Oh, one more thing. There are going to be a LOT of things being knit by the knitting bloggers out there from this movie. Just you wait and see. It was loaded with goodies in that department.

Okay, enough TALK about knitting, and off to DO some.

I stopped going to movies for several reasons, among which is they're usually a poor second to the book. Glad this one was successful.

I'm waiting on WalMart to let me know that my *reserved* copy of the very last book is ready for me to take possession.

    Bless the day

Wait a minute! You mean talking about knitting doesn't get any actual knitting done????? That could be my problem!! ;o)

Oh, I am so glad to hear the Harry Potter movie is good. I have heard reports to the contrary but of course, the critics are almost always of the opposite opinion to myself. (hmm can you tell I have been reading Pride and Prejudice again).

My screen name in Ravelry is Makana. I am looking forward to seeing you there.

    Have a good day,
    Paula
