Quite a long time ago, I pinned something on my 'Clay Pots' Pinterest board that I just fell in love with. It's a hand painted ceramic plate. I think it is made in France.
You should know, if I was fabulously wealthy, which I am not, I would eat off of plates like this every single day! I love dinnerware.
I made an attempt at painting this several weeks ago and gave up almost before I started as nothing was coming out right. But since I now have the new masking fluid that C. sent to me, I felt like I had a better chance of it turning out well.
Turns out I was wrong.
I think it turned out great!

I made the daisies way bigger because even with a 16 gauge needle to apply the masking fluid, getting such small flowers would have been over my skill level. So this was my compromise.
I'm so happy with it!

Whoever invented watercolor.... well, I'd like to give them a hug. Even though it is a very challenging medium to work with, there are times it just seems magical to me.
This was one of them.
P.S. Special thanks to A. and T. who sent me their old Microsoft Surface computer. It allows me to have a great example to work from without printing it out all the time. And I can zoom in to certain areas to help with the finer points. It's a great tool!
