Surprise!
Mon Apr 28 2008

Yesterday we got a call from the director of the Sheltie Rescue. She told us about a woman who had to go to the hospital and they needed a place for her little dog Scottie. We happened to live VERY close by to this woman's house and went right over and picked up the dog from her sister.

Meet Scottie:

He is very sweet and quiet. And he is a bit of a tub too. He has a thyroid condition and is just like a very cute little hairy sausage. Hub Man dubbed him 'Der Weinershnitzel'.

We are taking him on very sedate walks around the block. He waddles like a duck. Albeit a very sweet and amiable duck.

So there you have it. Our new barker
boarder.

[album 65561 GoofyHen2.JPG]You know
I would have
liked to have had
a little more notice
about this.
I had big plans
for the day.
There's an entire kitchen
that needs put back together
now that Pesach is over.
I just hope that furball
stays out of the way.

Oh all right,
he is rather cute.
And he is in a pickle
so I suppose we should help him.

But don't tell him I said so.
I have a reputation to maintain.

What a handsome (despite the tubbiness) little man! I've no doubt he will enjoy his stay with you, HubMan, Sunny & Fiona, and get to the point where he can romp a bit around the yard with said company!

What is it about Shelties that make them look so quizzical? Is the eyebrows?

Sedate walks for now. But what, after he loses a pound or so? He'll end up acting like a spring cicken. Oops, no offense Red. It's just an expression.

    Bless

Good thing you were handy. It would be a shame for such a cutie to end up in a noisy shelter with nothing but concrete and chain link fencing for comfort.

What a sweetie! I hope that he lives close enough that he can still go for walks with you so he maintains any gain in endurance (and loss of weight) once his mommy is home again.

Ah yes, another of the round and firm and fully packed variety. ;o) He looks to be a sweetie though. As are you.
