    I have a really great recipe for poached pears but it also involves pork chops and I'm thinking that might not be your cup of tea ;)

    It has been raining here since last night.
    I've been thinking I needed to throw some water on a few things when the heavens answered my prayers.
    It is supposed to change to snow in a few days.
    I'm not holding my breath.
    I can't even comment on the use of plastic flowers. YOU?!!

    RYC: you mean there's something more deep and meaningful than raw salmon wrapped in sticky rice and nori? ... wait, you must have seen those shoes in the window at Winsby's (hands off- they're mine on payday)

    Seriously, the whole book, aimed at teenaged girls, is all about challenging the usual ways of looking at and doing things. It's (insert superlative of your choice)!

    I am extremely envious of your little sprouts of real plants poking through the earth. You know what's in MY backyard? A snowman.

    I have fake flowers in my patio, since I don't have a backyard. I do have some real flowers in pots.

    So who cares if they're fake. They give a little color to an otherwise desolate area. Nice things about the seasons, though, you know everything will green up and blossom. Hooray for Spring.

    RYC: The first pic is the truer color since it was taken in natural light. The color is listed in the copper hue but to me it looks like a burnished apricot. Pretty startling after the white, lol.

    Oh I love seeing those little plants starting to come up. What joy! Only a couple more months left here until I can begin as well. THAT is something to look forward to!

    Your pears and soup sound delectable.

    Good for you with the yoga! Admirable is the word that pops into my head.
