As a result of a conversation over at Ravelry about Grits, I decided to try them for myself.

So this was part of breakfast this morning...

Yum.

(Wait just a ding dang minute. This is what we are reduced to? Pictures of your royal behindness's breakfast?)

[Sound of grandfather clock ticking in the background....]

You have a point.

(You bet your tilde I do! You are grasping at straws around here lately. What's WRONG with you?)

Ummmm....

Well....

I don't want to talk about it.

(Fine. Shut your trap. Works for me.)

He is kinda a grouchy, grouchy punctuation.
I think he needs a cookie.

I hated grits when I first tried them but being married to a southerner they've become a fact of life and I've actually developed a taste for them over the years though I do advise against cheese grits as they're the devils work *shudders*

I've never had grits but when I was younger Mom fed us Cream of Wheat and Cream of Rice. I liked those then but don't feel drawn to them now.

I DO like the bowl you served them in. ;0]

I've had grits and liked them.
Reminded me of Cream of Wheat.
    Wouldn't eat that plain either.
Gotta put something on it. Yep.
    Tastes like cardboard otherwise.

Though I love cream of wheat, I am not fond of grits. At least not for breakfast. I had them at a restaurant as a side dish to breakfast when we were in the mid west a few years ago. I thought I would love them but I was disappointed. Maybe at dinner time topped with shrimp.
