Work Day
Sun Mar 29 2009

The wind is blowing everything around here today.

It started out as a nice well mannered little breeze this morning, but has turned into a serious gale this afternoon.

I have cooked up some vegetables and brown rice for lunches at the court house this week. They have a little microwave in the snack room, so I think I'll have a hot lunch tomorrow.

I'll be out of here at 7:15 or so in the morning, so I'm writing this today knowing I will be royally wiped out when I get home tomorrow.

Today Hub Man and I were working out in the garage cleaning up a bit, so I tied the three stooges to the tree in the front yard. They didn't quite know what to make of it. Though I have to brag on them because after a few lessons some weeks ago about not barking at passers by, they just watched while a young kid rode his skateboard up and down the street.

It may have been a fluke.

I finished the little pouch that has some yarn in it made out of Ben's fur. I ended up felting it just a bit and I like it a LOT more now. I had the dickens of a time trying to get a good picture of it. [I took 14 of them in various places around the house and yard.] This was the best of the lot. It's cuter in person, that's all I can say.

I just put four loaves of bread in the oven.

I feel quite virtuous about it too. I had to kind of URGE myself to do it. I wanted to go knit on this little project I started last night instead, but we are completely out of bread, and there are lunches to make for the Hubster.

Anyway, that's it from the homestead today.

There will be no domestic bliss tomorrow. I'll be a nomad in the big city.

(Wear sensible shoes.)

I love that bag! You should start a limited edition line of Ben Bags and sell them at exorbitant prices. Some woman I saw a special on not long ago makes bags similar from Persian fur and charges between $45-$450 for them.

Blustery and icky around here today after a couple of weeks of nice. Snow this late in March is never a Good Thing for the spirits.

Enjoy your veggies and rice while upholding the American judicial system ;). I'm still amazed that I've not been called in almost 5 years and strangely enough, Ray has NEVER been called. Not that I'm complaining *knocks on wood*.

Dang, if I'd thought of rice and veggies, that's what we'd be having for dinner but I've already dry-rubbed the stakes and have the green beans and new potatoes on. Maybe tomorrow night.

Felting it tightened up the stitches just the right amount and the beads are the perfect touch to finish it off. Very cute. :)

It's pretty darn cute in the picture,so it must really be something in person.
    Cute. Very cute.
    Have fun jury-ing, #4.

Four loaves of bread. Aaaah!!! When, I ask, when am I going to get my flour and stuff so I can have home made bread. And that lovely aroma from the oven.

I've lost my phone again. I wish someone would phone me so I can locate the little beastie. I made 3 different pouches (color coordinated, doncha know), and they're in the drawer, and the phone is elsewhere. *sigh*

    Bless

Of course, if I'm in the "other room" from the phone, I won't hear it ring. *double sigh*

    Bless

Ohhhh. Home made bread. I've been getting the itch to bake some up myself. We're home, so I guess all that's stopping me now is the utter mess the house is in, with three weeks of mail piled on the table, and a houseful of vacation gear ramshackle everywhere. But I Will bake bread. The yeast is calling....

    Hugs again
