Yesterday, Ben had a play date.

We were invited to a friend's house to go walking near the river.

Here is Ben and his new friend Trace:

Trace is a Bernese Mountain Dog and I love him to bits. You never met a gentler, sweeter dog in your life.... These two kinda look like they could be long lost cousins or something eh? No? Well, I like to think so anyway.

We got to see this view:

I am embarrassed to admit we only live about 9 miles from this spot, and have only ever been there once. This is going to stop. I'm putting it on my, 'Things To Do More Often' list right now.

When we got back to Trace's house, he decided he would share one of his toys.

I thought that was very generous of him.

Especially when we got a good look at this toy.

Wow.

Some dogs really have all the luck....

Thank you Trace and Trace's mom for a nice outing!

    Oh my! What a view! Yes, you must put that on your List.

    Ben's new friend, I agree, looks like a 2nd or maybe 3rd cousin. On the large side of the family tree.

    Why does Ben have the muzzle halter on?

    Wow, what a big stuffie!

    Lucky had a Gentle Leader head collar just like Ben's. Oh, how I miss having a dog in the family.

    That really is a gorgeous view of the river. Very iconic, pastoral, valley of grasses kind of view.
