The winner of the socks?

The rain has returned in an almost sneaky way. First it was foggy, then cloudy, then mist, then lightest of sprinkles and now it's raining for real.
In a moment of clarity yesterday while the sun was still out, I raked all the leaves from the back yard. It's my goal this year to rake often and not let them get too deep. That fruitless pear is a big tree now, and it is a great shade tree, but that's because it has a b'jillion leaves on it. Leaves that I get to say howdy-do to every year. Hello Bill, Stan, Marty, Jack, William, Gary, Moe, Arty, Carl...
(STOP IT! I think you need to take something for that cabin fever. Your crazy is starting to show.)
I know just what to take. A dose of extra strength knitting.
Today is the perfect day for it. I'm just to the point I'm decreasing for the toes on my latest pair of socks. Of course I'll have to go on the internet and look up how to do kitchener stitch .... AGAIN. I always forget between socks. But if all goes well, before lunch, I'll have a pair of finished socks. Just in time to cast on the birthday socks of a certain son o' mine.
From Netflix, I have the BBC mini series "Cranford" to watch while doing said knitting. Hmmm.... shall I have hot chocolate, or chai latte with that?

Why are all the leaves boy leaves? Where are the girl leaves?
(In the asylum with the crazy lady kid. She has a lot of odd company in there... really odd.)

The only odd thing around here is you ( ). I on the other hand, am perfectly normal.
(Yeah right. Both your eyes are on one side of your head. That's real normal.)
OKAY. Knock it off. Everybody go outside and get some fresh air.
(I can't go outside. There are too many dogs in front of the door all the time. Besides, it's raining. My ink might run.)
Sigh....
Where my stitches at?
