Last night, the wind blew, the rain fell, and so did all the leaves on the peach and plum trees. Things look a lot different out there now. The fruitless pear as usual is hanging onto its leaves in the most Scrooge like way. But they are starting to turn yellow a bit at a time. It's a funny tree that...
Leo is getting along fine. We thought we had a home for him, but things didn't work out. So we are still looking through our applications to see who might be a good fit for him.
He is still quite the puppy in many ways.
This is a common sight. And in his defence, it IS winter, and he doesn't have much of a coat yet, so he is always looking for warm places to land...
Sunny allows this.
Ben does not.
Ben is not a cuddler of puppies.

At night, he is in a crate alone, so I give him the hot water bottle to snuggle with. They are on a first name basis now.
In honor of the welcome but chilly rain today, I'm giving away this pair of Sandal Sox I made quite some time ago. They are made out of the left over yarn from a pair I made for a friend. They were made to fit a size 7 foot. [women's]. A word of warning. They are 100% wool, without nylon in the yarn and most likely will not wear a long long time without need of darning. Wash by hand. Even though I THINK this is superwash wool, I don't want you to find out the hard way that I was mistaken.
So the drill: Whoever leaves a comment on this post will be entered into the drawing. Don't forget, if you leave an unauthenticated comment to identify yourself in some way.
I will put the names in a hat on Wednesday morning.
Here's to warm feet!
