Blogging Minimally
Tue Jul 12 2011

There are days when I feel like I have WAY too much stuff.

And the shuffling around of it gets on my nerves.

Today is one of those days.

I am amassing a load to go to Goodwill tomorrow. Perhaps someone else can be blessed with these extra things. I sure hope so.

I have been reading a blog that was recommended by my sister-in-law called “Miss Minimalist”. Now while I will most likely never get to her definition of ‘minimal’, I do like the philosophy.

I don’t know how it happened....

(Oh yes you do.)

but my yarn stash just seems to be multiplying on its own.

(No it isn’t.)

Well, I DID receive sizeable bag of yarn from a friend for a knitting retreat project that I am organizing. That did increase the pile by one sixth overnight. But soon I will have that mischief managed. It will entail rolling 60 or so, 1/2 ounce balls of yarn in various colors. Too bad I don’t have some nice rainy days coming up. That seems the appropriate weather for yarn ball rolling upping, don’t you think?

(I think you need a crash course in grammar and syntax.)

I wonder if Goodwill needs any used punctuation?

The shuffling of stuff seems like a huge waste of time and energy, but it still burns calories so it's not a total waste, right?

I am beginning to wonder if there is something in the air inspiring a movement to de-clutter the world. I feel absolutely driven to finish projects. It is exhilarating and exhausting all at the same time, but progress is being made!

As to the increasing yarn......... balls of it are very much like Tribbles. They require nothing to multiply, but they are ever so soothing when petted.

I always intend to declutter, which leads to getting whatever room is targeted far messier than it was when I began. Piles of Never, Maybe, and Good Riddance accumulate. The Good Riddance pile dwindles as I play "one for the box, two for me to keep after all". The Maybe pile gravitates to the Never pile (probably due to the gravitation from the sheer mass of the piles). The Never pile then sits there accusingly, waiting for me to find someplace to stuff it back into.

    It's never pretty.
