Last night I made up a to-do list for the week.

I don’t have a lot of obligations or appointments this week, so I felt pretty cavalier about what I put on the list. It started out quite simple and looked doable. Then I started to add in some art projects.

That’s when things got crazy. I now have a list of three people I want to make something for this week. It’s all fun stuff, and exciting to me. But I’m amazed at how many things I must juggle, even in my relatively quiet life, just to keep things from degenerating into chaos.

This all happened because what I REALLY wanted to do was move some furniture around in a major way. But I can’t really do that until a certain love seat vacates the premesis. It was all very exciting, my new configuration of furniture... and even involved window washing! [Gasp!]. But when I found I would not be able to focus my energies in that direction, I had to fall back on something else.

I feel like a veritable fountain of creativity lately. It’s all due to studying a couple of books from The Artist’s Way series by Julia Cameron with my sister-in-law. Wow, those books will blast your blocked artistic self clear into next week if you let them....

Sometimes I wish I had an agent. A person who was motivated and energized and delighted by selling things.
Lots of different things. Songs, poems, novels, children’s books, watercolors, drawings, knitted items of all kinds, short stories, gourds covered with handmade paper.... Someone who would come by once a month and gather up all my creative efforts, no matter what they were that month, and cart them off and find homes for them.
Yeah, money would be involved. I’m TRYING to have a practical fantasy. ;-)

I’m mulling over a solution to this situation.

I think I might have one that will work for me in the way *I* want to deal with all this output. Far from the maddening crowd.

(You are being rather vague don’t you think?)

Well, the plan is not fully formed just yet.

(Is there any reason why you couldn’t wait and tell us about it when it IS fully formed?)

Yep. Talking about it motivates me to DO something about it.

(Talk is cheap.)

There’s not much market for hackneyed punctuation either..... or so I’m told.

(I question your sources.)

I don’t CARE about punkshiashun.
Let’s make cookies!

Exactly.

(Is that on the list?)

It is now!
