Looking Up
Thu Feb 28 2013

I went to the county seat with S. yesterday and we did a boatload of errands together. While she was getting her hair cut, I walked around the corner to a thrift store and poked around. I'm on the lookout for new dishes, and though they had a couple of sets, they didn't speak to me. But I DID find something that was just right for me. I love the shape and the oversized scale of it. And the price? 25 cents. You can't ask for more than that in a tea cup. On any planet. Cup of Perfect   Cup of Perfect2   Though we are missing Ben's presence with us, I can tell that Sunny is very happy to be able to get out of the dog pen and go with me while I'm doing chores around the place. I took some things down to the barn today and then hauled wood back up, and she got to run all around checking out the things that dogs check out in the country. .. which often seem to involve 'who peed where and when'. And since we have any number of creatures that roam through, I suppose for a dog this is very exciting stuff. Only down side is I think Sunny is developing a taste for deer droppings. Not VOLUMES of deer droppings mind you, but more like wine tasting of deer droppings. Our neighbor plowed and planted his horse pasture over the last two days. It will be interesting to see how long it takes for the seed to sprout. plow   I planted my sweet pea seeds yesterday. (The flowers, not the edibles). They had sprouted in their damp paper towel and were ready to face the world. It's pretty early, but I thought I would take a chance. Okay, off to banish some dust and cobwebs. They don't care WHAT season it is…. they seem to flourish no matter what.

Looks like you are getting "our" nice weather -- I can' t believe how wonderful it is. Unfortunately it is wonderful because there hasn't been any rain, sigh. Tea cups ... how we get attached to them! And tea -- I have a whole Tupperware container full of different teas. This morning I had earl grey. What is your fav? I also like green tea, chai, lemon ginger, raspberry tea to make ice tea with, English breakfast, chamomile, and on and on!
