Art With A Side of Peanut Gallery
Fri Jan 18 2013

I challenged a friend to a Zentangle not long ago.. She commenced hers right away. I procrastinated. But when I did finally begin, I remembered all over again why I love these things. It has been sitting on my work table for a few days now, and whenever I have an odd moment…. (My dear clueless Cupcake, ALL your moments are odd.) Yes. Quite. When I have a free moment or two, I sit down and fill in one of the spaces. That's another nice thing about Zentangles, they are compartmentalized art, something that females are usually not so adept at. [The compartmentalization part. Not the art part.] (I'm glad you used brackets for those sentences. No self respecting parenthesis would consent to be seen with them.) Oh really? Do you KNOW any self respecting parenthesii? (Didn't you notice the red spell checker underlining your error just now?) Yes I did. And I ignored it. (What makes you think you don't have to obey the rules of spelling?) Because. I'm an Artist. And I am ZEN.

I love Zentangles, but feel quite hopeless at it. I think maybe I plan too much.... wanting to know where I am going before I begin.... or hating where I've gone before I even get there. I love where yours is going.........it tells a story of where you are and of your dream of spring yet to come. Snowflakes and icicles are conspicuously absent. ;)

Thanks for the lead on Zentangles. What a find. I'm trying "play" everyday.
