I have come to the embarrassing conclusion that my weather predicting skills have degraded.
Alarmingly.
At three in the afternoon yesterday, I took a good look at the clouds and concluded that there would not be thunderstorms. The clouds just weren't developing enough and it was late in the day already… etc. etc. etc. I had it all worked out.
Turns out I was 100% wrong.
By 4:45, this is what those puffy, white, widely dispersed clouds had managed to accomplish...
Yikes!
And right after this photo was taken, it began to thunder. Then it rained well into the night. Though thank goodness, no downpours.
I guess I'm gonna have to hand in my weatherman pocket protector….the really cool one with the cumulonimbus on it.
Rats.
Though my garden is certainly happy that my prediction was wrong.
Those are potatoes coming up out of the straw.
Here are some onions and peas, plus that square bed actually has carrots, parsnips [and weeds] sprouting.
I still have a lot of work to do, but it's coming along.
