There And Back Again
Tue Sep 03 2013

I've been walkabout. It was Epic in certain ways. In Stitches… I know you are probably going to recognize the location of these pictures...my humble apologies, this time was my shake down cruise. Now that I know I can do it 'on my own', I'm going to do it more often. A visit to you will be on the agenda… on the next run. January? I saw two interesting characters in my travels... silver man2   This young man was weirdly fascinating. He would juggle these balls for a while, and then put them away and freeze into a pose, until someone put some money in his jar, then he would shake their hand, in a sort of slow robotic way and then start juggling again. And this guy? I wish I had mustered the courage to talk to him. What a GREAT costume! Those of you with 'bad boy' tendencies would have been in great danger around this fellow…. AHA good for you. You can always walkabout to our house in FO if you want any time. Isn't it exhilarating to do something so different? Hope you found a bunch of treasures?

Well that explains why I kept thinking about you this weekend! ;) I've been longing for a proper visit all summer, but between the garden, orchard and birthday celebrations I could not have squeezed in even a nano-second of a visit this last week so I am not entirely bummed....... just a bit around the edges. A visit would have been far superior to all except the birthday celebration....... the mother unit turned 87 and that is worth celebrating! January sounds pretty good as long as the snow isn't flying.

of course you can do it on your own! In fact, I found that travels are best in the smallest companies possible - no arguments about which turn to take next ;-) I've done a fair few with me and myself, all around Europe and even some on your side of the Pond. It is amazing experience to watch the world and be a part of other worlds, if only for a while. You go girl! some time in future, perhaps, some plans to leap across the ocean? ;-) *hint hint*
