It's been a productive day.
I finished and delivered my piecework, and picked up some more to work on.
Then I went to the garden and picked all the ripe tomatoes.
This time I had two dishpans full.

Then I dove in and processed them into these tidy packages...
There's one more quart, but I popped it into the freezer, as my canner only holds 7 quarts and I wasn't going to run the thing another 15 minutes for just one jar.
With these and the 7 pints of tomatoes I did the other day, I declare my tomato storage fully stocked.
From now on it will be fresh tomato soup, tomato topped pizza or tarts.
If they keep ripening the way they are, I also hope to make vegetable soup.
I'm sorta tuckered out though and need a little down time. Is it too late to take a nap if it's 3:45 in the afternoon??
