Smalls
Mon Dec 02 2013

The rain is dancing on the edge of where we are. A few miles up the mountain I can see it. But barely a drop or two here. I hope this changes as the day goes on. We could use some nice rain. I find myself at loose ends today. Sort of wandering around the house bumping into the walls. There was so much activity leading up to and including Thanksgiving. And now that everyone has gone home, it's very quiet here. Since it has turned into a 'loose ends' kind of day, I decided to spend my morning tying some of them up. So I put the finishing touches on three small projects: Smalls   I saw someone a few weeks ago who was wearing a piece of jewelry that looked like a tiny purse. I thought it was really pretty. So I tried making a tiny neck purse with my smallest yarn. Turns out I don't know jack about tiny. I'm going to have to get some really fine lace weight yarn and try again. Alpaca has a tendency to get delusions of grandeur when it gets felted. Anyway,  now I am well and truly finished with all my loose ends and am free to launch into the next experiment. I'm hoping for the sound of rain on the roof to accompany my needles. We'll see….   lime wild
