Well, the snow DID fall.
About 6 inches where we are.
Then it got VERY cold.
This morning it was 0 degrees here.
Wowie. That's crisp.
But we have no fear here.
My hero is on the job.
I'm toasty warm as long as the wood holds out. :-)
In honor of the winter weather, I am making the quintessential cold weather food.
Though it will be with special beans.
One half of my entire crop of Turkey Craw beans.
I love this picture. It shows to perfection the angle of winter sun. A fitting portrait for beans that are about to be plunged into hot water, thus fulfilling their intended destiny in the grand scheme of things.

Biscuits?
Or Cornbread?
