Today is cooking day.
I tend toward the blitzkrieg school of cooking.
Make a list of unrelated foods and set to until exhaustion sets in.
I'm taking a little break, having just taken this out of the oven...
The very, very last of the carrots and parsnips from the garden, joined by onions, potatoes, some cloves of garlic, salt, pepper and olive oil.
Add heat. Prepare to swoon.
This ambrosia will be joined by deviled eggs, egg salad, sun tea, and buttermilk cookies.
Everything is done except the cookies.
Even though they were first on the list. :-)
Cookies are ALWAYS first!
