Here we are on the last day of 2014.
The weather report:
One word:
Brrrrrr!
Notice I took this picture from inside the house!
This morning while I was making my breakfast, I suddenly had the uncontrollable urge to listen to the Beatles.
So off to YouTube to listen to Sgt. Peppers Lonely Heart's Club Band.
That album altered the Zeitgeist of our culture... in my humble opinion. There was something about it. It was entirely new. I still remember the first time I heard it. I was with some friends out in the woods one evening and one of them had an 8 track player in his car. (This in itself was a big deal in a small town where only a few of the guys had cars anyway, much less one with a tape player installed....) I listened to it with the unique focus of attention that only a 16 year old can muster. :-) It was Awesome....

Let's try one more...

Still amazing after all these years...
Anyway, here at the end of 2014 I'm grateful for the lessons I've learned, the new people I have met, the family and friends that make my life so rich, the new teachings I have begun to pursue, and the beauty of the place that God has given me to live this part of my life.
In the next few days I intend to give 2015 the deep think.
Set some goals.
Contemplate some subversive courses of action.
(What are you subverting?)
My own recalcitrant elements. Things need shaken up a bit around here.
(Well, shake up your own corner of the world, not mine. My corner is doing just peachy thank you very much.)
As you wish.
(Damn straight.)
You are going to miss all the fun.
(Define fun.)
Sorry, it's not in your dictionary.
(Damn straight.)
ANYWAY.
In the spirit of my small bits of scattered retrospection, I got this little napkin out of the drawer just recently and came face to face with the tiny inspiration hen...
There are lots of chickens on this fabric, but she just makes me so happy...
I think I am going to make a new template of her in a more exact copy of her shape.
What's so great about the little upstart?
She's not THAT interesting.
I can't explain it. She just makes me smile.
Smilling is overrated.
Wow, seems like everyone is in a cranky mood today.
We need some Robert Lewis Stevenson:
"The world is so full of a number of things, I'm sure we should all be as happy as kings."
Amen Bobby.
Hey! I'm not cranky! What's sibversiv? Will it be fun?
I'll tell you what...we'll MAKE it fun... you and me.
And part of that fun is going to come from emulating what I have learned from this guy...
Enjoy his video that he just posted... and more than that... go try balancing some stones yourself!
And have a Happy New Year!
