Yesterday late afternoon, we held the last farmer's market of the season.
It was a lovely clear day with no wind and no debilitating heat.
The sun has moved south, so we have much more shade, and we all took advantage of it.
The kids were there painting and carving pumpkins.
The teenagers of the pumpkin art group were expressing themselves in typical fashion...
Gross.
But SO Jr. High.
It was a nice 'end to summer' kind of day. I'll miss seeing everyone during the long months of winter. But I won't miss the smoky air from the fires and the heat.
The market manager asked us to dress up in costumes, just for fun.
This is as far as I was willing to go with that:
I spent a fair amount of my time bestowing blessings upon people with my wand.
And descretely dancing to the live band that was playing off in the grassy area nearby.
Goodbye summer.
Autumn is here and you have worn out your welcome.
Don't let the turning leaves kick you in your garden destroying butt on your way out, you big bully.
I hope you learn some manners on your vacation.
