Winter Waters
Tue Jan 19 2016

S. and I walked up to the creek yesterday to see how high the water was after our recent deluge. Turns out that the high levels recede pretty quickly. Only one day of no rain changed everything. I guess if you want really impressive high water photos, you have to be willing to get your camera wet. :-) PS... you can click on this photo and it should open in a larger format...   DSC00048 The Sony has a noticeably wider lens! This is going to be very nice for landscapes. S. with her eagle eye, saw an interesting root that had grown around a rock, so I had to get a picture of that... DSC00054   Zoomed in a bit... DSC00055 I'm still a little muddled about taking close ups with this camera. Its depth of field is pretty narrow. I will have to learn how to work with that. For now I'm still on automatic. Here's the latest crop of wheat I've grown for the hens. Today is harvest day. They will be very happy at treat time this afternoon! DSC00062 I love all these colors together... There's lots to learn!   lime wild

Great colors! The greenish tint in the water in the first photo, and the pop of bright green and blue in the last photo. So...do you hold the bowl while the chickens eat the wheat grass?
