At Long Last - Hollyhocks
Sun Jul 02 2017

They are white! Well, strictly speaking, I think they are actually very very pale green. But let's not get technical shall we? Let's just be happy. It's been an incredibly long wait to see these blooms. Three years to be exact. DSC03471 Now I know why I wanted to plant them in the first place. They are so darned cheerful! DSC03476 And huge. DSC03481   Do you think they are related to hibiscus? BRB... Well, bust my buttons... the Wiki says yes. They are in the family...

Malvaceae

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malvaceae There is one more plant growing next to this one. Smaller, but with buds. We'll see if it is a Hollyhock of a different color. Patience Cupcake. Patience.   lime-wild
