In between filling the wood box and stoking the fire in our faithful Bruce, I've been at my worktable playing with pens and ink and different kinds of paper. The other day however, a friend of mine who is a Zentangle teacher told me about a project pack I could get with all the supplies for making Zentangles, following along with instructions on the YouTubes.
So, I decided to order the kit and join in.
It arrived just the other day:
I was surprised at how many supplies they sent!
The first tile in the series did not turn out so well, so I'm keeping my mistakes to myself, but this is the second one:
I'm finding out that I should watch the entire video before I begin, because I tend to go off where I THINK we are going with the drawing and them realizing I've made a major error. However, one of the tenets of the Zentangle method is that there ARE no mistakes. Because the real point of doing it, is not for the end result, but for the process itself. The pen to paper, the ZEN of drawing. So, I embraced my misunderstanding of the instructions and carried on. Meaning.... I understood the assignment. 🤣
I'll post a few along the way as I complete them. I looked ahead, and some of them are quite intricate. That should be a challenge!
