It's been very cold here. But clear and sunny. For a brief time every afternoon, it gets warm enough for me to work for an hour or so trying my best to clean up the sticks and leaves in the yard. I sectioned it off in my mind to about 8 areas that I was willing to tackle at one go.
Yesterday was number 4 of 8. I uncovered my emerging daffodils!
Then I raked mostly sticks and a few acorns off of the largest area of the yard.
But this still remains:
Yikes.
But you know, eventually I will, God willing, get this done.
Though to be realistic, even if I remove every leaf from this area, winter isn't over and when we get windstorms, leaves will blow into the yard from across the fields. But never as many as this.
I finished my zentangle project the other day. There are twelve tiles taped together to make a running garden scene. It's impossible to get a satisfactory photo of the whole thing at once, so here it is in sections:
I followed a class on YouTube for days on end.
I hung it straight across from my reading chair so I can look at it all the time. 😋 It was a lot of fun to do.
