Winter Strategies
Sun Feb 16 2025

I have posted this on Instagram, so some of you will have seen it, but I wanted to put it here too.

Something about this doodle pattern has just grabbed my imagination here in the cold, dark, rainy, snowy days of winter. I feel blessed to be able to work with color and form with beautiful instruments and inks, while the outdoors is hostile to exploration of more than just the cursory kind. I brave it as often as I can because I NEED to be outdoors for some portion of the day. But my goodness, my forays have been so brief, with snow and ice sending me scurrying back into the house to stand next to Bruce to recover.

So, please forgive me for my obsessions. They are keeping me sane and happy.

(The happy part I'll give you. But the sane? I'll need a second opinion on that.)

Diamine "Alpine", Robert Oster "African Gold", and Diamine "Ancient Copper".

Thanks to John Bosley for teaching the doodle.
