I think the weather people need to take a chill pill.
The way they were talking up the storm that's moving through right now, you would think that we were going to be snowed in for the rest of the winter.
It rained nicely. The temperatures dropped. And we DID get a few flakes of snow late this morning at the house which was very pretty, but only lasted about four minutes.
There's snow on the mountain however, which is where we really need it.
Now, don't get me wrong. I would dearly love to eat my hat tomorrow while posting pictures of Sunny belly deep in snow. But I don't think that's going to be happening.
So while I was confined to the indoors, I decided to work a bit with my new loom. I warped it several days ago, but with one thing and another, I wasn't able to get around to weaving much. My friend C. gave me some skeins of cotton yarn she had in her stash and I am using it as my first run through. Hopefully, I will have two kitchen towels to show for it when I'm done.
This was earlier this morning. I am now close to having enough woven to divide for the second towel.
Weaving is the perfect winter occupation. I'm thinking about setting up the laptop in the living room and watching some movies while I weave. I think it's time to re-visit Hogwarts. :-)
Oh, and P.S...... the camera and I are going to go our seperate ways as soon as I can find a replacement. There's a lot of things I'm very happy to put up with that are less than optimal. But photography isn't one of them!
